Ward D. Rummel is an expert in nondestructive evaluation engineering and engineering project management. He has special and specific knowledge in solid rocket motors, missiles, aircraft, aircraft engines and spacecraft systems. He originated the characterization and quantification of nondestructive processes by the probability of detection ( POD ). He is the principle author of " NDE Capabilities Data Book ", which is used as a standard reference throughout the world.

His technical expertise is frequently requested in support of educational, government and industry programs. He is currently on the Air Force NDI Advisory Board and the Federal Aviation Administration Nondestructive Evaluation Working Group.

The Company was founded by Late Amos G. Sherwin, recipient of the "2003 Robert C. McMaster Gold Medal". He was a pioneering innovator and contributor to liquid penetrant testing technology, with over 40 years experience in the NDT field.
